A great way to keep your event organised

Are you looking for a great way to keep your event organised?

It all starts with the right 'Invitation' and ends when you send the 'Thank You for Attending' notes.

But how can you keep track of who is or isn't coming? Who is bringing someone with them and who maybe able to make it if nothing more spectacular comes up?

Gone are the days when your only option was to get a printer to send out your invites or for you to go to the shop and buy a pad of 25 daggy looking invites and then have to wait by the phone for the RSVP. Whether your event is an intimate dinner or a large scale conference, why not harness the power of the internet to keep it all organised.

Ok so I send out an email to everyone...Wrong you can create great looking invites that suit your style by choosing from exclusive galleries or upload your favorite image (even a pdf will work), you’ll find a design so uniquely yours, your guests will think it’s custom made (oh wait, it is).

Remember all those times you sent an invite or ecard and thought, “but I had so much more to say”? Well, now you can say exactly what you want. You can even post pictures, videos, add a google map and collect money or add gift/charity registries. If you want to go Ad Free (by removing the Pingg.com logo) you can for a small fee.

And to top it all off you don't have to be the organisation genie Pingg.com make it easy to manage your guests, sort your guest lists, send reminders, thank-you notes and more. And all from one place.

A new beginning to enhance my perception!

If you asked me at the beginning of the year what I would be doing in November I would have had no idea.

You see for 5 and 1/2 years I worked as a contractor/consultant to a not-for-profit (NFP) and after feeling brain dead on the subject matter I decided it was time to have a total change. So I gave notice in February and thought...'Ok, I have until September when the contract runs out.' To my surprise, and for the first time in my dealings with them, the NFP acted quickly and had a replacement arranged in March to job share until the end of June.

Panic set in and I thought what have I done. I surprised myself when within answering only three positions vacant notices I secured a contract secretarial support role in Bathurst to see me to the end of December 2008. (There was a little cross-over between the two and a week away on Hamilton Island, but that is another story.)

Then comes August, and now without getting into too many personal details, circumstances changed with my family responsibilities and I found myself declining the offer of a full time role with the business in Bathurst. Instead I tendered my resignation and agreed to work until the end of October to allow the person I was relieving to return from their extended vacation.

Skip forward just a little to today....Today I woke up feeling fresh and ready to commence my new beginning. So what am I doing now you may ask? I am working as a Virtual Assistant/Business Manager for several Professional Speakers and small to medium sized businesses.
